Two-player Skyjo strategy
Use the predictable turn order, watch the discard closely and respect the opponent’s final turn.
With one opponent, every card you discard is immediately offered to them. Avoid handing over an obvious low card unless the move improves your own layout more.
Keep track of how many hidden cards they have. Ending the round gives them exactly one last opportunity, so compare your buffer carefully.
Also: the nerdy view
The two-player discard has a higher probability of remaining relevant because there are no intervening players. Information from the opponent's choices is also less diluted.
At the same time, a single final turn can swing the unique-lowest condition. Model the opponent's plausible best response, not only their current visible total.
