How to read other players in Skyjo
Track visible totals, hidden-card counts and the cards each player repeatedly declines or takes.
You do not need perfect memory. Notice who is close to revealing everything, who has large exposed cards and who is building an obvious column.
A player with one hidden card can end suddenly. A player repeatedly passing low discards may already have a strong layout or may be protecting a match.
Also: the nerdy view
Opponent actions update the information set. Taking a specific value can indicate a known replacement or matching target. Rejecting a card reveals that it was not worth the forced swap under that player's state.
These are signals, not certainties. Avoid presenting behavioural inference as hidden-card knowledge.
