How do ties work in Skyjo?
A tie for the lowest round score does not protect the round-ending player from doubling a positive score.
Round tie involving the ender
The official condition is that the ending player must have the lowest score on their own. A tied lowest score is therefore not enough. If positive, the ender's score doubles.
Final game tie
The official English Classic rules identify the player with the lowest total as the winner but do not give a detailed final tie-break system in the main text. A shared win is the cleanest default unless the group agrees a house tie-break before play.
Starting-player tie
The first-round instruction selects the highest sum of two visible cards but does not state a tie-break. Use a neutral pre-agreed method.
Keep rules separate
Do not invent a universal tie-break and present it as official. The site should mark agreed alternatives as house rules.
Ties at 100 points
Two players finish on the same lowest cumulative total. The rulebook provides no tiebreak, so they are joint winners.
Two players on 84
Nothing in the printed rules separates them.
| Player | Round | Counts as |
|---|---|---|
| Rachel Ended it | 84 | 84 |
| Pete Ended it | 84 | 84 |
| Sam | 101 | 101 |
Joint winners stand. We are not going to invent an official tiebreak for you.
