How to play Skyjo Junior
Follow the Junior setup and collect scoring sets, with the highest score winning the round.
Start with the Junior objective
The goal is not to avoid points. Players build and reveal their layouts under the Junior rules and score completed vertical groups according to the printed value.
Starting and ending
The official Junior guide uses the youngest player as the starter and a one-round structure. When high scores tie, the tied players share the win.
Keep explanations separate
Do not show the Classic 100-point target, ender doubling penalty or low-score strategy on a Junior page. The scorekeeper must switch its winner calculation when Junior is selected.
Scoring Skyjo Junior
A Junior layout with a completed triple of 5, a completed triple of 3, and two incomplete pairs. The total is 8, not 24: each completed triple scores its printed value once.
Two complete triples
A column of 5s and a column of 3s. The other two columns are unfinished.
Total 8
The triple of 5 scores 5. The triple of 3 scores 3. The pairs score nothing. Highest score wins in Junior.
Only complete vertical triples score. A triple of 5 is worth 5 points, not 15.
