Drawing from the face-down pile
A blind draw gives you two choices: swap the card into your layout, or discard it and reveal one hidden card.
Look before deciding
Draw the top card and look at it privately. You do not have to announce the value before deciding.
Use it
Replace one face-up or face-down card in your layout. Put the drawn card face up in that position and place the old card on the discard pile.
Reject it
Place the drawn card on the discard pile, then turn one of your own face-down cards face up. The newly revealed card stays where it is, even when it is high.
Why this matters
Drawing blind preserves flexibility. Taking the discard gives certainty but forces a swap. The choice between them is one of the central decisions in Skyjo.
Drawing from the face-down pile
A card is drawn from the face-down pile; the player then either exchanges it for one of their twelve or discards it and reveals one of their own face-down cards.
