Can you swap two cards already in your Skyjo layout?
No. Classic turns replace one layout card with a card taken from a pile; they do not rearrange your own cards.

Positions matter because only complete vertical columns disappear. Once cards are placed, they stay in those positions unless replaced or removed as a column.
You have a 12 in one column and a 1 in another, and switching them would complete a column of 12s you could then remove. You cannot. A turn puts a card from a pile into your grid; it never moves the cards already there.
Moving a card sideways to complete a column is not legal.
This answer is for Classic Skyjo unless stated otherwise. Action and Junior may use different mechanics, and Voyage follows the original Classic gameplay.
