Do three matching negative cards disappear?
Yes in Classic, because the removal rule is based on equality, not whether the value is positive.
Answer in context
However, removing three -1 cards changes their contribution from -3 to zero, which is worse for that player’s score.
Three -1s line up in one column. They come out, exactly as three 8s would. You lose the three points they were saving you, which is why a negative column is not always the good news it looks like.
Do not treat every completed column as beneficial. Negative totals are valuable.
